Sofar Delhi NCR turned Sweet Sixteen & it got experimental

Sofar Delhi NCR got back into the new city and onto the roof for their sixteenth show. The show was extra special because not only did it feature two new and upcoming artists but also witnessed the homecoming of our maiden show’s international star- Luiza Sales.

The show took place on a crisp February evening at a lush rooftop in Green Park and was an amalgamation of genres with three artists.

The show started with the melodious voice of Hanita who played alongside her band. Her setlist asked us to ”Be Patient” while telling us that “Nothing for our own” is left so she “Let me Go”.28661023_1807635879281528_4775170478216052736_o

Her powerful vocals coupled with the band’s energy lifted up our spirits as the NCR chapter embraced its teenager phase.

The evening progressed to Luiza & Pedro, a Brazilian couple who first performed at our maiden show in October 2016. As Luiza herself explained, Sofar Delhi holds a special place in her heart as this is the first time they performed together in india. The new repertoire featuring their own compositions was developed in 2016 with Luiza on vocals, guitar, viola and Pedro on piano.28577094_1807638385947944_3329336112442245120_o

The couple performed songs from their newly released album such as “Gostaria te Encontrar” and “Back in Bahia”.

As the night fell, the mood got a little dark with Zenguin- an instrumental progressive metal band that left us wanting more.

The winter is leaving which means this was our last rooftop gig. Do tell us in comments about quirky venues that we can play at during the infamous Delhi summers.28576755_1807635735948209_6578235652163239936_o
